Route B: Dirt road and single track down the mountain then around the lake.
Route C: Shuttle runs on the down the mountain on single track. (please go to Downhill/freeride page)
Routes A and B
We drive you to Foia, the highest mountain in the Algarve at nearly 1000m. We have a quick drink at the café on the peak and look at the view before descending the mountain, after about 15kms the road levels out at a lake. There is a short climb to a beautiful view of the lake, this is our usual lunch stop. After dinner we follow the edge of the reservoir until it reaches the road (another 15kms). In the summer we then drive to the dam wall, which is great to jump off and get rid of the dust. If you are planning on going into the water make sure you have something to swim in and a towel, these can be left in the backup vehicle that follows us all the way.
There are some small climbs on both routes but there is a backup vehicle all the way if you don't want to pedal up!
